Brewing

I found my new home:

Just kidding, calm down, a bar will never be anything close to a home for me. But when Andrew and I checked out a local 'country' bar for the first time this past weekend, I have to say, it made me pretty happy. Even if it was line dancing night, and neither of us know how to line dance.

We watched, tried a few dances, and agreed we would have to come back for a swing dancing night to see if all of our dancing classes have been paying off.

I think they are.

I broke out the colored jeans this past weekend as well. I'm telling myself that the more spring-like colors that I wear, the sooner warm temperatures will arrive.

Hence why I was confused to learn that there is a possibility for 'substantial amount of snow' on Wednesday. I can't say I'm that mad about it because I love snow... and because I'm heading home to Illinois on Thursday, and I'm confident the snow will be melted by the time I return next week.

Backtracking really quick... on Saturday, I took my springy pants on brewery tour with some friends, just outside of B-more. The company is Heavy Seas - their most popular beer may be their Loose Cannon IPA. They are growing like crazy, and it was neat to try out all of their different beers, and see where the magic happens.

After church today I definitely could have used a long run to clear my head and sort through some stuff. Woulda been nice. Instead I hopped on the elliptical for a little over and hour, and started reading this:

My coworker lent it to me awhile ago, and like so many other things in life, I've been putting it off. I have to say, it grabbed my interest from page 1, specifically when the author says:

"One April day, on a morning just like every other morning, I had a sudden realization: I was in danger of wasting my life."

I'm not trying to be dramatic or convey that I think I'm a worthless POS who sits around and twiddles her thumbs all day - neither is the author of this book, from what I've read so far. But to be really honest - this is a topic I've been kind of hung up on so far this year - remember when I alluded it in my mopey post last week?

It's just something I've been processing, slowly. I don't know what my balance is, where my sweet spot is. How happiness/joy, serving, loving, working hard, being busy, and healthy, yet having peace within it all - how those all come together. Specifically for me.

Does that make sense? Do I sound crazy?

OK this is getting too heavy for a Sunday night. Moral of the story is, I'm excited to read this book, I'm still excited that it's March, and I'm excited about my free glass that I got on the Brewery Tour.

How was everyone's weekend? Has anyone read The Happiness Project? Or been on a Brewery Tour? Or read The Happiness Project while on a Brewery Tour?

Cheers to a new week!
