How ‘bout those Ravens?
I have NEVER experienced the kind of electricity that Baltimore had on Sunday night. I’m fairly certain every single bar was at maximum capacity, with the Seven Army Nation chant echoing loud and clear throughout the city.
The Bears may always be #1 in my heart, but it was still super awesome to witness the Ravens win it all, and to be a part of the madness.
Second on the agenda. Tomorrow, February 6th, is my 1 year Blogiversary! I cannot say how blessed I feel to have this joy of writing in my life, and the privilege to share it with all of you. To my surprise, my blog has grown a lot the past year, and my hope is that it will continue to do so throughout 2013.
One thing I wanted to do to celebrate was to host my first GIVEAWAY!!!! I brainstormed for awhile, and decided that the logical move was to give away something that represents me the best:
I'm giving away a Trader Joe's Store $25 Gift Card!!
I love to eat. I love experimenting with new recipes, and I LOVE grocery shopping. Trader Joe's is basically my second home out here in Maryland. So, to show my appreciation for this awesome store and for my awesome readers, I would love to give one of my readers a free trip to the grocery store.
To enter, just leave me a comment below telling me your favorite food, why you love Trader Joe's, or why you enjoy reading my blog. This Friday, February 8th, I will select a random winner using a random number generator, and ship off that gift card to you.
Last but not least… I’m 25 today!! Baltimore decide to celebrate by throwing me a parade!
My amazing coworkers bombarded me with gifts and made me feel extra special. Now when I sing along to ‘22’ by Taylor Swift I have to change it to 25 but that’s OK. I can deal with that.
CHEERS to being one year older and wiser, more amazing memories, and of course, those purple birds.
Kate I am taking your advice and commenting because hey, you never know. I might win something for once, just like you and your cruise. But hey, here is my contribution. My favorite part of your blog is the eat clean recipes you share, especially your smoothies. Still love all the pumpkin ones but I need to get over that now that it is officially past the holiday season. But I have truly enjoyed all your blog posts and love your commentary on life. Keep up the good work! Taylor.
ReplyDeleteI like Trader Joes. I made bacon wrapped dates from there for my Christmas party. I don't like long distance running but this is always a fan read.
ReplyDeleteI love Trader Joe's. I think I find something new and wonderful everytime I go. I think the last time I was there I bought some PB&J chocolate bars.
ReplyDeleteI think it's safe to say my favorite food is PIZZA. Remember all the cold pizza you used to eat from my fridge? yeah, that's definitely the way to my heart. And then there's the blog - which brings a smile to face when I read it because it is so you. Every last word. I read it and I know the rest of the world will one day fall in love with my best friend because of her hilarious witty loving ways. Best of luck to you my dear. Just remember, keep calm and run on :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite food is probably eggplant, I love Eggplant Parmesan. I love Trader Joes because you can find really fresh vegetables there, and of course their excellent Kashi selection and the selection of whole grain breads is great as well. Thank you!

Happy Birthday and blogiversary! I love TJ's and just made pumpkin pancakes tonight in honor of national pancake day (and yes, I stocked up on the pumpkin mix b/c I can't get enough). Fearless Flyer for the win!

Favorite food: all things Mexican
ReplyDeleteWhy TJ's: Great selection across the board. And specifically chocolate covered caramels.
Why I read: Fun, light reading. And I enjoy reading about a fellow BU athletics alum doing a sport other than what was played in college.
Happy Birthday. Cheers!

Favorite food: McDonald's. Specifically the double cheeseburger meal. Is this a healthy living blog? What?
ReplyDeleteWhy I love Trader Joe's: Fab variety of easy to cook food, also obsessed with the dark choc covered raisins.
Why I love your blog: It's funny, not afraid to get deep, and it goes beyond just what you eat and what exercises you do. Because to me, mental health is the most important of all.
Love, your publicist (Danielle)
My town just got a TJs a few months ago. I love it. Now, what would make me love it i even more is if they'd pass the laws in my state so that our TJs can sell $2 chuck! haha
ReplyDeleteMy favorite item at Trader Joe's is their chicken sausage! Such a great, and relatively healthy dinner.
ReplyDeleteI love Trader Joe's. I go a few times a year (don't have one really close) and stock up on pretty much everything. It's always an overflowing cart but my favorite are some of their cookies!

My favorite food at TJ's are their frozen appetizers. Nom. Nom.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday!!!
My favorite food would have to be Peanut Butter. I actually think I have an addiction problem to it...if that is possible. I love reading your blog by the way because I feel that we have a lot in common. Congratulations on your 1 year blogversary!!
ReplyDeleteYO! First of all, did you not make it to the Blackhawks Stanley Cup parade? I can't remember if you would've been in CO at the time, it was SICK!
ReplyDeleteI love that you're giving away a TJO's gift card, we all know how obsessed I am. It stinks big time not having any of them in CO, but every time we drive to Albuquerque & visit Joey's family, we bring back a big ole trunk full! Their Penne Arrabiatta skillet dinners are amazing, especially when you add a little tofu? JUST like Noodle & Co's Penne Rosa! Also addicted to: their indian frozen dinners, their chocolate chips cookies, their bagged nuts, oats & berries, and pretty much everything in the entire store. I'm now heartbroken that I cannot go shop there. RIGHT. NOW.
